08/01/06 | Ned Stites III | Just look at this photo and you can feel the electricity that was Jackie
McLaughlin. Look at the fans filled with excitement and joy, in awe of their hero. When Nat Kleinfield announced his name at Flemington the stands would rumble with cheers. His car merely arriving at the track would bring cheers. Its hard to explain to the fans today what racing was like then. I hope todays fans take a long look at this priceless photo and get that tingling in their spine that I do when I see these pictures. The races I saw with Al Tasnady #44 and Jackie McLaughlin #111 at Flemington were among the most exciting I ever saw. Going to the pits and seeing them and their cars afterward was an event equal to waking up on Christmas morning. |
03/03/07 | The Pavlisko's | Could that be a Langhorne Qualifier Trophy for a spot in the 100 at Langhorne? That was about the correct size. I maybe 100% wrong but that is my gut feeling. |
