08/09/07 Mike C that picture of Mike brought back memory from that time. If you look under his arm you will see that he has a crutch.

He broke his leg or ankle, he was sporting a cast on it, but that didn't stop him from racing. I think it was 72 or 73.

He had a great friendship with all the Staten Island gang, coming there and partying with us......................

Mike C. 71 S.I.N.Y.
08/09/07 Alby Salter Mike was definely a true race car driver and and a hero to a lot of his fans.  He will always be remember by the older fans like me.  I love it when he would beat or give Ploski all he wanted at Flemington.
08/11/07 Walter Onora There is a lesser known Neil Diamond song, titled "Done too soon". This describes Mike's shortened career! He is still missed today. Many fond memories of Mike!
06/07/08 TOM (BUTCH) GRBAC. I BELIEVE THIS WAS WHEN MIKE FELL FROM THE TOP OF A TRAIN CAR, WHILE WORKING AS A IRON WORKER. MIKE BROKE HIS HEEL BUT THAT DID NOT STOP HIM FROM RACING. I REALLY LIKE THIS PHOTO OF HIM.
