CONFESSIONS FROM THE VAULT
"Remember, Its only cheating if they catch you..."
We've heard on occasion that some competitors may have "massaged the rules" just a bit... You know... reverse turning engines, trick trans, ways of shedding a few pounds when needed...
Some of us fans may have a few stories too... sneaking into the track... or into the pits... Maybe even a few parking lot intermission stories! Maybe others saved their fun for the trip home or maybe for the stop at the diner.
Whatever the story, its confession time here in The Vault!
Ideally, we like to have our information first hand (from those who were a part of the activity, or at least from those who heard directly from the participants.) And of course, "Official 3 Wide Amnesty" will be offered to all parties involved - both alleged and actual! (Not that that means anything, but it sounds good!) Either way, we're pretty sure the statute of limitations will protect all involved!
Note: It's ok to use your online nickname, but we reserve the right to NOT post information received that we feel is intended to be malicious. We are looking for interesting stories about stuff that may have been a little outside the rules, maybe a little sneaky... or that is just plain funny. Of course, if you are comfortable with identifying yourself by including your name to assist in adding credibility to the story, that would be a plus!

Getting in for Free...

I remember the time me an my brother got in the trunk of the car , go through track gate at Reading, to the infield. Well, the car stopped... my brother thought we were in the infeild. So he opened the trunk. Turns out we were stopped at the security gate betwen the pits an the infeild! That gaurd was mad ane the more I laughed the madder he got! lol . My dad gave us the idea. He said they used get in drive in movies that way lol. We just thought we would save our money for more of them awsome infield french fries! lol. Also, I used to climb up the tree in turn 3 after it got dark at Grandveiw and watch the features lol. Ahh tthe good old days . Didn't have much money but we sure had alot of fun!
Also I remember rumors that Toby Tobias Sr. used to put water inside his right rear tire? Anyone know if that's true? (I'd assume to keep it cool).
