A Rainy Saturday...

...51 Spectacular Single Family Homes?

...Nobody's was in, but there's a note on the door...

A "V.I.P. Waiting List"... and a "Special Opportunity?"

Never considered myself a V.I.P. but since I'm here, 'might as well take a look at what everybody's waiting for...

Hey, isn't that the place where Danny Mitchell's white and black #1 almost ended up one night?

... and here's where I'd get a $20 bill from dad, and run up to the window and say, "One adult and one kid"...

Here's the view heading into turn 1 from track level..

1000's of tearoffs embedded in the outer edge of the track surface... where the wooden fence once stood.

A few of the homestretch from track level, looking back toward turn 4....  You can almost hear the engines...

...I guess nothing stays the same...

Here's the current view when standing at the bottom of the frontstretch stands, first looking to your left... then straight ahead... then to the right.

And just then, while looking out from about where the starters stand once stood, we noticed the rain was turning to snow...
And I  remembered a time when I stood in the same spot... almost 40 years before...
