...and a look inside the Museum

Models and drawings of cars that competed at Old Bridge and some of the other "Lost Speedways" of the state.

In addition to a 1/2 mile asphalt oval, Old Bridge Speedway also featured a 1/8th mile drag strip.

Interesting photo/story board of speed runs made at the Woodbine Airport back in the late 50's/early 60's.

Earl Krause begins an interview session with some of the guest drivers.

Gil Hearne shares a story and a few laughs with the group (left to right:  Dennis Zimmerman, Bob Rossell, Earl Krause, Gil Hearne, Bob and Sue Boudinot.

The Thomas Warne Museum location is a great place to host this fall tradition.

We got the #292 Al Michalchuk replica out of the barn just for the occasion.  (Thanks Kevin Eyres for the use of the ramp truck and for helping us get it there and back!)

A view under the hood of the Woody Johnson/Pete Frazee driven #68

...and here's the view from inside the #68

We won't forget "The Wildman."

A view from behind the wheel of the #XL-1

Cool street rod

Here's an up close view for those who like things that go "Vroom..."

...Speaking of "Vroom" that's 70's Reading/Nazareth racer Tom Vroom (right) and Old Bridge racer and artist Charlie Lindmar (left) posing in from of Charlie's original #69 coupe, (featured in the drawing!)

Suspension "tricks of the trade" from back in the 60's...

Open wheel vintage cars

Current Wall modified racer on display to provide a little of "what's new" compared to "what's not so new!"

Bill Force does a little adjusting on the #XL-1 to get 'er ready to roll out...

Ray Liss heads out with his #1 vintage sprinter.... Time to load up the #292 and call it a day.

See you next year!

As mentioned above, thanks to 2013 Wall Stadium Sportsman Champion Kevin Eyres for helping us get the #292 back and forth to the show.  As seen on the back of Kevin's car above, it's that time of year again, and with the help of the volunteers and donations from the racing community, the Matheny Christmas Party will be held on December 21st 2013.  Donations can be made to:
