It's only 7:30am and cars have been filing in for hours already...

A little morning chill, but perfect weather for the 2024 Pumpkin Run.

Gary Balough, Barbara and Will Cagle are up early greeting fans.

The grounds at Fleming's is the perfect place for a car show and more.

305 Mid Atlantic Sprint Series Champion Buddy Schweibinz - Keep your eye on...He's that good!

Skinner #659 Vega

Wayne Weaver's racer from 1980

The Honda SL70.... This is the one a lot of us wanted when we were kids after trying to start our mini-bike for the 27th time....

Old School Honda 250

Heading into the huge show car display area

Pumpkin Run T-Shirts are a big show favorite.

Still a little too early for a chili dog and fries, but it's a must stop for a little later.

How did this thing ever survive?  Pretty sure it's 'a 73 or '74 Maverick Grabber.  (By way, this is the paint code that Big B used to paint all of his #A racers.)

There was plenty of room, so why not?

Comfortable seating.

Untouched since the early 70's

I know what you're thinking....  (Me too.)

Flame Thrower, but not a good idea for today as dry as things are...

Nice.

Straight out of the Jersey Pines!

Bone stock!

Surprised (pleasantly) not to see a small block Chevy with a Holly 4BL, or a LS something or other under the hood of this early 80's Hurst Olds Cutlass.

Owner Mark took the time to put everything back to original, the way it rolled out of the assembly line.  Nice work Mark!

I think the owner of this one said it was a '71....  It had a ProCharger and dyno'd at 600 HP.

Eye catcher... Might have been my show favorite.

Rubber noser

Not many of these survived the 70's....

Definitely "one of" my show favorites...  Chevy OBS, small cab, 6' Fleetside.... Somewhere between 1988 - 1998.

..and another favorite... I like those 67 - 72 Chevy C10's...

Fast truck...  Chevy Syclone... AWD, turbocharged.

Religious overtones!

One for the Ford Truck guys...

Little truck...

Big Motor... (nice artwork on the inner fenders)

Sunliner

Im guessing... '37 or '38 Chevy?

Boat Anchor...  (the anchor, not the truck!)

Leftovers

Big thanks to Shawn McAndrews who provide a thumbdrive full of Pleasantville Speedway images that we displayed as a slide show inside the museum all day for folks to enjoy.

Lots to look at from many area speedways

Batmobile still looking very fast.

Legends.

Standing L-R: Kenny Brightbill, Billy Osmun, Sammy Beavers, Buckey Kell
Seated L-R:  Will Cagle, Gary Balough and Jimmy Horton

Quick trip through the Flea Market.  (I ended up getting a few parts for a '90 Chevy pickup that I'm working on.)

Time to load up the 4wheel drive Station Wagon, and head out....

Green, Gold and White.  Nice.

Anyone else thinking "Art Arfon?"

Fall colors

Ricardo Montebon?... No, it's actually owned by a friend of mine named Arnie, but it is really a Cordoba!

Hope he doesn't have to stop short....

Attention grabber for all the right reasons.

(I know... I know... no politics allowed!)

Another great day at Fleming's Pumpkin Run.
