Tons of cars on hand for the Clash at the Can event
...and great crowd on hand too.
It doesn't get anymore laid back than a night watching modifieds at Penn Can
Just about time for the first heat...
.... cars are on the track
That's Tyler Dipple leading the way in the first Modified heat...
... a little later in the night, and there's Tyler Dipple leading the way in his
sportsman heat. Young Dipple would win both his modified and sportsman
heats (but got DQ'd in the sportsman heat for going to the forget'n about the
scales...)
Jimmy Phelps avoided a wreck in between turns 3 & 4 but found the waterin'
hole...
Fortunatley, the car stopped just short of submerging the engine!
The wrecker crew pulls the #98 out of the pond...
The crowd gives a loud cheer as Jimmy fired up the #98H... and then would go on
to drive it from the back to a qualified spot in his heat race!
There's lots of places to watch the show at Penn Can
The modifieds line up for their feature event on the homestretch
Fans give a wave as the strong field of top modifieds goes by....
Excellent field of drivers.... Well run show... Definitely add it to next year's
calendar!
