Tom
Carberry Sr.
We are sad to hear that Tom Carberry Sr. passed away
on Thursday, Sept 11th. Tom Sr. (left) is shown
above in victory lane last year at New Egypt Speedway
with son Tom (center) and grandson Tommy on the right.
Here's just a few of the many, many cars
that Tom Sr. was involved in over the last 40+ years:
Tom and crew (top left & right photos) with the
white #47 driven by Dick Havens. In the center
left photo, that's Tom and Ralph Barone with the Schloeder
#K46 that was driven by Al Tasnady,
Bob Pickell and Terry Schloeder. That's Tom with wrenches in hand, working with the Fred Menschner #21 driven by Oliver Butler
in the center right photo..... Tom in the plaid shirt
leans over the hood of the
#47 in the a car that was driven by Mike Grbac and
there's Tom and crew in victory lane next to Promoter
Paul Kuhl at Flemington with driver Stan Ploski. Just a
few of the many race cars that Tom Carberry Sr. was a
part of.
We'll miss seeing Tom at the track each week.
Our condolences go out to the Carberry Family.
