Drawings by Tom Gray

Note from Tom Gray:  I was rooting through the garage and found a few drawings you might appreciate. Post them if you like or share with others.

The 58 mud bus was a drawing I did in the early to mid-80's.....I should have put dates on these drawings but I can only guess as to when I drew it. This was quite typical of my favorite drawing style and I still favor it to this day.

The Brightbill picture was used in the old Flemington race program when Lou Brunnel still ran the PR for Flemington. I would do a drawing for him every few weeks and he would put it in the program....I also sold programs for Lou....

The sprints.....well they were made up cars for something to do.....

The #4 is what I likely would have lettered for a sprint car if I drove one....

The mini stock #28 was a cartoon I drew for the Vernon's, Big Ray Vernon and his younger brother Joe Vernon drove this car with the AMSA club. Joe also owned a sportsman that was campaigned by Clint Bush for a while at Flemington as I was told....Don't know any details other than Joe passed away in Dec 2004 and his brother Big Ray still lives in Flemington. These two got me into racing and I kept my first car at their house and also used their old 1940's vintage ramp truck to get to my first race at Nazareth....

The cockpit shot of the modified was drawn in 1986.....I guess I thought enough to put the date on it....

Thanks for providing the great original drawings Tom!
