Jack, this car not only looks mean but with Carl “Fuzzy” Van Horn behind the wheel it was as fast as it looks. I remember Carl and Gary Balough in the #9 Gremlin having a few epic battles for the win at Middletown back in 1973. In those days Middletown had what we called a ledge between turns 3 and 4. Basically the track was slightly banked until about the third lane where at that point it became very flat. You would be fine if you got the right side tires over the edge but all four and you had better get the car pointed back down otherwise the concrete was next. Gary and Carl would end up over that ledge many times during the feature because they got into turn three so deep not wanting to give the other an inch. |

Kenny only drove this car one year 1975. This is when i first started going to Nazareth with the 2a. |
