Comments: Comment:  Vince was probably already in his 60's when I first started going to East Windsor Speedway around 1966 or 1967.  Announcer Bill Singer would always spend a little extra time on his introduction and my dad would always watch him.  Vince always had that old time look with the smaller 3/4 helmet with goggles, and from what I remember, at that point, he didn't qualify often, but he was out there, week after week.  What I didn't know was that Vince had raced for decades... probably going back to the 40's and 50's, prior to those days of me watching him race at East Windsor and Flemington.  I don't really know much about the earlier days of his career, but I think he might have raced at Langhorne.

I noticed the hand painted info on the cowl of the car and did a little research and found that the Old Cedar Speak-Easy Lounge is still there....

Not sure if Vince raced before WWII, but he shows up during the 1947 season. Here is a early pic: http://www.wallycampbell.com/contemp-53.html  And here is one of his brother Sam: http://www.wallycampbell.com/contemp-51.html
