Comment: First night out for the
powerful Norcia #81? Many of the top modified teams were all running
Gremlin, Pinto, Chevette or Mustang bodied racers, but after running a
Mustang bodied racer the year before, the Norcia team came continued to
campaign this sharp looking and very fast running coupe bodied racer with in
the 1975 season with
Sammyyyyyyy
Beeeeea-vers behind the wheel.
In 1976 the Norcia team came out with a Pinto bodied racer, and I think 1977 might have been the first year for the Gremlin bodied racers (there were at least 2 of them) that had the silhouette of the black horse on the quarter panel, and would be driven by drivers (Billy Pauch, Fritz Epright, Elvin Felty and Sammy Beavers) at different times over the next few years. |
