Comments: If the date provided with this photo is right and judging by the helmet, I'm pretty sure it is, I think this would have been one of the earlier non-coupe/non coach cars in competition. Great photo provided by GSVSCC.  Become a member today!

05/10/04 Regina Murath This is the orange Gremlin #6 that has been restored by Bob Murath and will be at some of the GSVSCC events.
09/27/06 Jim Kelleher This looks like Dick Lewis' Falcon. The Gremlin wasn't introduced by AMC until Spring of 1970.
09/27/06 3-Wide I'm thinking that the comment above form Regina meant that there is a car around today that currently has a Gremlin body on it that at one time was the car pictured above with the Falcon body.
02/24/07 Chet Fritz This picture is one of many that I personally have.  I have some of the car I took but all are just snap shot photos.  This car was originally built in Perth Amboy NJ, then was moved to my dad's house in Piscataway NJ.  At the time I was just 16 years of age.

My dad and I did much work on this car and we hardly ever missed a race at Wall Stadium.   I left NJ in 1971 and moved to Alabama.  My dad and the car owner Chester Konopaki continued their great friendship along with Dick Lewis.

I 'm not real sure of the exact year that Dick passed away.  I believe it was around 1997-98.  My dad has also passed, his name was Wally Fritz.  He passed in 2004.

Seeing this picture brings many memories back to me and riding inside the car to get to go to the races with my dad and Chet and my name is also Chet but the only way they had room for me to ride was inside the racecar while upon the truck that brought it to the track.

My Dad past away November of 1989 to those who have posted pictures and stories about him it's great to see them. I still remember the days when Wally would come to Dads we would talk about my go-cart.

12.19.16 3-Wide Your dad's #9X Gremlin that he raced at East Windsor is one of my all time favorite cars.  I've also heard stories of what a good guy your dad was - I think he was a manager at the Ford(?) dealer in Bordentown maybe?
