I never tied in Bucky Barker with "Barker Bus" as in the white #76 that was driven by Gary Butler, Fritz Epright and by Billy Pauch.  But I see "Roy Barker's Bus Service" in Pluckemin, NJ which I know is Barker Bus country...

Many of us remember Bucky also driving the #V8 Modified and even a sprinter too.

Comments: Could use some details on this one from GSVSCC guys...   Thanks-

08/05/04 Gary Bauer In the center of Pluckemin, NJ at the intersection of Rt. 202/206 and Washington Valley road is Gus and Bucky's car Wash.  It is owned by Pete Chesson and I belive it was formerly a Barker Bus location.

The car wash has a race theme to it.   There are pictures of Bucky Barker on the walls and the complete story on Bucky's career.  There are also pictures of James and PJ's sprint and USAC cars.  At the front desk there in a "Offyette" quarter midget hanging from the ceiling.   Out side Chesson took an old rolling pit tool box and converted it into a beverage cooler.  If you like the way your car was cleaned you can leave a tip by raising the visor on one of the Chesson brother's old race helmets and place the money inside.......a very cool place to get your car washed.........I have a very clean car!!

08/13/04 John Mc Roy Barker was Bucky's dad. He sold the bus co. to Peter Chesson's father back in the 60's. Bucky lived in a house in Pluckemin that used to be right next to the bus yard(where the carwash is now), and his wife Faith was a bus driver for years. Here's a trivia question for you........what was his real first name?..........John Mc
08/13/04 3-Wide I don't know Bucky's real name... any takers out there?
08/14/04 Klippurr35 Easy one if your his sister in law.  Bucky's real name was Harold.
11/05/05 DAN DOMBAL (Gary Bauer)  Saw your response about a offyette hanging from a ceiling.  I raced one on long island for 12 years and my dad sold it when I was a teenager.  Now I am 44 and I would like to find a offyette.  Can you help me out? email me at HOW4ME@IWON.COM
11/16/07 fltlnjok Note the "Signs by SCRUGGS" . Billy Scruggs was somehow (thru marriage?) to Jim Horton Sr. Both originally from Bradley Gardens, NJ. Now Bridgewater.
02/29/08 fltlnjok Bucky's given name was HAROLD. From an old North Branch boy. Note to John McC: I knew your father before he had a driver's license.
