02/06/07 Barry Pursell The number 405 was driven by gus constendias.  I don't remember him in victory lane, but he usually made the field, and was fun to watch.  Before Oxford Sinclair it was a Crown station.  I lived in Oxford for a short time.  Peppy and his brother Tony were very nice people.  Great photo.
02/07/06 Walter Onora Great shot of the X-9. The 405 of Gus was from Staten Island. I am sure George LeBlanc could provide more information on the 405. Peppy was a consistant runner at Flemington and Harmony as well, in the ltd sportsman division.
02/12/07 Robin Fernandez Thanks so much Mr. Becker for the photo of my father on this site.Nobody in the family has this picture it was one of his first cars.It was originally just 9 but someone was already running with 9,so hence the #X9.  Thanks Again and keep in touch, Robin Fernandez
03/25/07 Steve Whitney This is a great picture. I don't think that Pepe gets the credit he deserves. This car was innovative. The original car would lift the front end off of the 4th turn at Flemington. After it was shortened, Pep went on to dominate the Sportsman class at Harmony. I was there when he won races at Flemington, Middletown and Nazareth. He was truely remarkable! I wonder if anyone remembers that Bob Banghart had a red coupe number 6 that used the same square block number as the 9 on Pep's car?
