Comments: Pretty sure this is Joe's first car...  Think I heard him say that it was painted like Frankie Schneider's because of the help that Frankie had provided in helping Joe get the car together.  Joe later drove a #77 sportsman at Flemington and would later win quite a few features in the Late Model class driving the #127.

03.16.10 Richard Guy Friday Night Lights!  Joe ran this car on Friday nights at Nazareth, along with 100 other cars.  This should be 1975, maybe 76.
03.20.10 Keith Inglin This car was made from Joe's street car. He was in tandem with two others
and it was based on the Frankie Schneider paint.

Not only did Joe have a 57, but so did my father.

There was a 2a - Ken Stryker, 2b - Joey and a 2c that was 'The Sarge' -don't really remember his real name. They all carried the same paint and wheel colors. Not only did Joe drive a car that carried the paint scheme, there was a time that Frank brought more than one car to the track on Sunday and Joe would drive it also.

My dad flat towed the car to the race track in his '72 pickup with me and my twin brother stuffed in the back with all of the tools and tires. Although it was close on a few nights, he never had to leave it up there. (Sarge did..) The best was when it rained or was real cold on the way home - what a ride for especially for him in the car driving behind the truck.

The car was competitive, and no one could believe that it went as fast as it did because it was so heavy compared to the rest! They often made him tear down looking for something but there was never anything to find. One other thing I remember about the car is that it had "283 Cu In" on the hood like all the cars did back in that time.

After talking with Joe about the photo either our brother Dave took it or the only other person was Bob Taylor of Flemington who did the lettering on his early cars until my brother Kevin took over that job from Bob.

The picture was taken in our neighbors driveway, and our house was in the background. Just a few feet out of focus was the patio where he and my father worked on the car literally under the shade tree with a chain hanging from the biggest branch.

Once he took this car for a ride around Flemington and was visited by the local officer who lived a few houses away. He reminded him that the car was no longer legal for the road LOL!
03.24.10 Kevin Inglin One night my father blew the clutch in his pickup. Joey fired up the car and pushed the truck home via the Late Model from Nazareth to Flemington.  We went through the Easton toll bridge and my father threw the money at the attendant while screaming NO CLUTCH.

'The Sarge' was Jeff Sergeant.

03.26.10 Brian Rozycki This picture was provided by John Menzak in a pile pictures he had laying around. It's interesting that it is painted by Bob Taylor because he is one of my friends. He told me that he once painted a car for Joe. I can't wait to show him this pic...
04.05.10 Kevin Inglin Address of the photo was 45 maple avenue in Flemington. That was our family home address, the car is parked in the neighbors back yard.  Photographer was David Inglin. Dave told me tonight that he took the photo.
04.07.10 Uadajane Ketcham This was Joe's first ride. I remember it well. As his aunt, I often traveled to races with the family. Not only to see Joe Jr. race but his dad, Joe Sr. as well. Those were the good old days.
