Comments: Comment:  With some road racing experience, Gary arrived at Flemington Speedway in a 2nd generation Camaro... a car originally built for Trans Am Racing, and quickly found the fast way around the square...  Not sure when, but at some point, Gary went from running The duostat #28 to The duostat DISPENSER #280.  (It's my understanding that the car above was Gary's 2nd car.)

Dominating the class, Gary always remained a favorite with the fans (which, with short track fans, is never easy to do when you win a lot!), and a well respected driver with his competitors in the Late Model division.

I can tell you is that it sure was exciting to watch Gary charge from way back in the pack to the front, usually in short order...  I remember the car had a unique sound to it too...  Whatever it was, it was definitely the right combination....

I had a chance to touch base with Gary just recently, and thanked him for the exciting moments behind the wheel.  Gary's response:  "
Those were such precious days for me. Wasn't until I was 40 years old that I finally had a competitive car, and my 15 min of standing in Victory Lane w the checkered flags. Mighty fond memories."
