Depending on who you ask, this was one trick Late Model... or one
pretty basic Late Model with a just the right tweaks here and there...
One thing for sure, the guy behind the wheel was the right guy to have at
the controls as Stan probably has one of the all time highest winning
percentages of any driver, in any class, at any speedway. He had quite
a run at the Hightstown oval back in the 80's... According to John McCaughey who was involved with some of Stan's cars, this photo was taken at an open event held at Bridgeport. (The big spoiler on the back, and the air cleaner sticking thru the hood scoop means the big block was in the car.) |
