Comment for above photo: Two car builders who expedited the advancement of technology of modified stock cars, some will say to the point of no return... I would say that it was going to happen at some point, and these two were at the forefront.

When Ken Brenn and my father went out to check on the first two Modifieds Grant King was building (24,73) I was lucky enough to tag along. At some point during the day Grant said that he and Kenny were friends and that he had contacted Kenny to talk shop before he started building. Even though they talked I donít think they agreed on much. The Weld and King cars are worlds apart. The 112 is a bit closer to Kings design but still different.
