Trenton. If you ever get a chance, go online and look up how Jigger
Sirois almost ended up getting the pole position for the 1969 Indy 500 one
year... If I remember correctly, he was the first one out on pole day, and
his owner waved off his time as he was about to complete lap 4... It
then began to rain, and no one else got to run that day. That means
that if the team had accepted the time, allowing the qualifying run to be
completed, Jigger Sirois would have been on the pole for that year's 500
regardless of his time as he would have been the only one eligible.
