Comment: I remember the red Silliman #4 coupe was a very
competitive car back in the late 60's and the early 70's. I've seen
pictures of Bucky Barker driving the coupe and of Tom Hager driving the
Falcon that came out around 1974, but the days that I'll remember most are
when Oliver Butler wheeled the coupe you see above at East Windsor and
Flemington. One of the most consistent cars, Ollie behind the wheel of
the Silliman #4 was a terrific combination. From left to right: Al Silliman, Oliver Butler, Sam Cellura and "John." |
