Comments: Comment:  (How this photo came about):  Photographer Rich Young was building a model car of the #39.  Rich and Camel Banghart took a ride down to Piscopo's body shop/garage to see if he could take a look at the car.  Dave said go take a look at it.  Rich got the car about 3/4 the way done and they took another ride down to show Dave the model that was done so far.  Dave said that's the way the car is built.  Rich said there was all kinds of shocks on the rear of that car.  In fact Dave asked Rich not to show anyone the model showing how all of the shocks were set up.  Didn't want to get away any secrets I guess.

03.30.17 3Wide I've learned from Fred Menschner and Ray Neary (who were both friends with "Davey") that the first driver of the #39 was Bob Trautman.  Then Budd Olsen drove it for a while.  Not sure if either of them were feature event winners in the #39, but once Al Tasnady became the driver of the #39, it became a dominant car on the local dirt scene.  Fifty plus years later and we're still talking about the Piscopo #39, with Al Tasnady behind the wheel.

Not sure about Troutman having any wins, but Bud Olsen did have a win or 2.  He won the Reading championship in the 39 back in 64.  I believe by 5 points over Fred Adam.

I believe Budd had 4 wins at Reading in the 1964 season.

I remember the guy had two models in a box and he was showing them to Dave and my Dad Sam DiGiuseppe ended up with one of them.

I still have it.
