"SuperMODELS"

From Bob Burd
Comment from Model Builder Bob Burd: Attached are 4 pics of the above model that I just completed. Of all the 44s that Tas drove, this was probably the prettiest, but also least successful. They brought it out in 1962 as a new car. It was unique because it was a 37 Ford, 2 door humpback sedan - sort of big for a modified. I don't think Tas liked it because he went back to the beat up tired 37 Ford flat back sedan that he successfully raced in 1960 and 61. One other point about this car - my favorite driver, Jackie McLaughlin drove it once after the Lucky Jordan #2 broke - He totaled it between the 1st and 2nd turns at Flemington in 1963. In regard to the model, the wheels, tires and rear suspension came from Big Donkey and Polecat decals has them in stock. The humpback body is resin and I got that from R & R out of Michigan about 18 years ago.
