Comments: | Comment: Greatness being built.... Not a lot of store bought anything here guys... Just Dave Piscopo, the guys in the garage in Morrisville PA... a 55 Chevy frame (I think), a 36 Chevy coupe body.... a welder... some paint... and you end up with a car that we're still talking about and making models of over 50 years later. |

02.08.19 | Fred Menschner | This picture was taken at the Piscope Brothers Garage in Morrisville. Looks like they are in the process of rebuilding the #39 for Tas after Bud left. This was where the car was worked on and stored its back in the corner by the paint booth where the left over paint was kept. Could be Sam Digiuseppe, who did all the welding under the car and inside the car is Carl (Shakey) Hughes. One of people standing is John Zimba, a #39 crew member. Tas used a ton of left rear weight. |
02.08.19 | 3-Wide | Fred - what street was the shop at? (I remember you showing me a place - maybe Hall Ave? - where you said the original shop had been located.) Also, did you tell me that Al drew the original "Polecat" design that appears on the trunk lid above? |

I remember all of these great memories as a kid hanging
out with my Dad, Sam DiGiuseppe, as he did the welding on the 39. |
10.23.23 | Fred Menschner | The garage (mentioned above) was just down the street from the post office on Pennsylvania Avenue. Started out in a smaller garage in the back that I built the # 21 coupe and sedan. Just in front of that garage was a larger one, so I rented both garages. That bigger garage was originally a baby chick hatchery and in there I built my pinto body #21. Then I rented it to Tom Carberry to house the #47. |
