...at Nazareth

Bob Pickell talking to another driver.  Your's truly (Del Cramer) in the red shirt and blue jeans.  The other guy facing the camera might be Cornelious Joyner.  The guy on the right is Kenny Poffenberger.

Funny car of Ken Poffenbergers, who built the engines for the #80

Looks like this photo might be from the pits at East Windsor with Craig McCaughey.

"I TOOK THE PICTURES IN LOU INZEO'S TRUCK REPAIR GARAGE N CALDWELL, N.J.  I TOOK ALL OF THE PICTURES AND STILL HAVE THE ORIGINALS.  THE PICTURES ARE ALL OF THE SAME CAR BEING BUILT WHICH WAS THE SEDAN.  LOU BOUGHT THE CAR FOR $00 IF I REMEMBER HIM RIGHT.  AFTER THEY CUT IT ALL UP THE GUY WAS A LITTLE MAD ABOUT IT.  THESE PICTURES HAVE NEVER APPEARED ON LINE BEFORE THIS. NO ONE HAS THEM BUT YOU

I WAS UP TO LOU'S FARM A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, WENT TO THE RACES AT NATURAL BRIDGE, VA AND TALKED RACING AGAIN AND ABOUT THE GLORY DAYS..."

03.17.11 Jack Kromer Wow, thanks for posting these. What a sharp sedan. Cool pictures of it being built, back when modifieds were at their coolest.
03.17.11 3Wide Yea Jack... We had these in a different section in The Vault prior to creating the "Under Construction" section.  Figured we'd move them here to their new permanent home so more people would get to see them.
05.09.11 Bruce Thomas Got to say that is dam cool! I at least got a taste of the "cool modified's" as a very young kid when my uncle's were doing the same kind of thing's in their garage on the V7 car's. Those picture's bring me right back to my youth. Even though i was in the way most of the time asking too many question's about stuff. I eventually became the goffer, or was sound asleep on the break room couch at the we hour's of the morning. Thanks for posting a trip down memory lane.

This is probably my all time favorite coach, although I don't think I ever seen it run.   I am in the beginning stage of doing a 're creation' of this car.  I'm making sure everything is as close to original correct as possible, from leaf spring length to corvette steering box. to the special paint color.  I got some good people helping with knowledge, including Mr. Inzeo himself!  The details he remembers is just crazy!!!!

Wow, I grew up in that garage.

Mr Inzeo's son Bobby and I were best friends growing up. Although he had retired from driving when I met him in the mid 70's he would take us all over for the stock car races. Those were the best days of my childhood. I just spoke to Mr Inzeo a few weeks ago and promised to stop and see him on the farm in this summer and catch up on old times. Thanx for posting those pics.
