Comment from Don Hoffman: The original owner/driver was Rick Karpeuk. The car was raced at Dorney Park and Evergreen Speedways from
1977-1979. The best we could figure is that the car sat outside for at least 23 yrs. It was buried in the woods at a junkyard with trees growing through the floor and vines wrapped around it. I started the project in 2003 and finished it in 2008. Most of the work was done at a friends shop (Travis McIntire ) and the body work I did at Ken Schrader's ARCA shop here in N.C. I've been working for Kenny for 17 yrs. and that is where the car is kept. I would really like to get it back to Pa. later this yr. for some shows. Dennis Smith from N.J. did the lettering and Paul Weisel from Orefield, Pa. donated the Firestone tires that we raced on in that era. Thanks, Don Hoffman |

03.01.11 | Tony Bennyhoff | Don: A wonderful job in bringing back this Dorney car. There were so many great looking cars at Dorney Park during this era, including your 73's. |
