Comments: Comment:  This photo is dated 1975, so the driver is a mystery to me...  Jimmy Horton drove the Statewide #3, and he had a red helmet, but he didn't drive this car until the following year.  If this is 1975, the only drivers I thought would have been Kenny Weld, Billy Osmun... and maybe Gary Balough(?)... and I'm sure it's not Weld, or Balough in this shot above...   (Maybe Billy O, but I don't know if he had a red helmet....)

What do you guys think?  I'm leaning toward Billy O.....

Any chances the car was sold and driven by the new owner, looks kind of rough for a statewide owned car.     

05.28.16 3Wide I think this car stayed in the Statewide stable for at least the next year ('76, and possibly even in '77?).  I  agree with you a Statewide car would never show up to a track looking like this one, so I'm guessing that the damage on the car in the picture above probably had just happened that day.
