Comments: So much to look at.. guys wrenching on the cars.... one car still on the trailer... the nose from the one car on the floor, a drum of oil, a bubble balancer, a sheet metal brake, acetylene tanks...  It's like stepping back in time.

06.07.11 George Gwynn This is a great photo of a midget garage from that era.

If any of you folks have seen the great racing movie "The Big Wheel" starring Mickey Rooney, this picture will remind you of the great midget garage setting from that movie. If you haven't seen that movie it is one of the better racing movies made with a lot of short track racing leading to a great finish at the Indy 500.

It's on my movie list, at least, once a year....especially during the winter months when the thirst for racing is unquenched.
