Comment: This is a very interesting photo. It provides
the start of the trail of "whatever happened to one of my all time favorite
cars." The championship winning #93 1937 Chevy coupe owned by George
Taylor and driven by Dick Havens. The #93 with the Ford Coupe body that was driven before this by Don Stives and by Dick Havens changed hands a few times over the years and now is back in the hands of the Taylor Family, however, I always wondered what happened to this car? As you can see, it looks like it was still in pretty good shape when it was sold (less engine) and since Trenton Mack and/or Stan Ploski didn't campaign a coupe from this point on, I wonder where it ended up.... The photo is dated specifically Jan 1, 1975 (originally marked as 1974, but changed by someone to 1975.) As far as I know this car was raced from 1970 through the 1973 season (I think...) although I do have a picture of this #93 dated July 1974 on the track at Flemington, but I don't think it is correct (I think it should be July 1973.) If this is Jan 1975, this was right around the time that Stan was going to drive the yellow #27 Mustang that was the first modified that I remember Trenton Mack being involved with. I guess the next question is, what happened to the #93 after this shot?
