had an opportunity to display his Champ Kart behind the main grandstand at
Bridgeport Speedway along with a bunch of 1/4 midget drivers as part of a promotion where
the speedway let the 1/4 midget drivers in for a quarter! The Kart will compete at Wall Speedway this season, however with the poor early season weather, we've only had one practice session and are still looking forward to our first racing event at Wall. The Kart has gone through some neat modifications including the installation of a safer 1/4 midget seat, repositioning of the steering column, adjustable pedals, installation of a belly pan, a kill switch and even an additional side cage bar to give a little more protection on the left side. All of the above modifications were conceived, designed and fabricated by Nandi at Palmco Crash Repair - Thanks Nandi The side panels and nose piece were painted by Greg Owens (Thanks Greg) who's dad owned the #16 back in the 60's driven by Jim Hoffman, Johnny Gouveia and others. The graphics were provided by JayD3 (thanks to Jay and Pat Dugan), and Rapid Rob Pierce and Phil from Speed Palace have been working with us on outfitting Jesse with the lastest safety gear. Jesse's really looking forward to the season and looks to use every bit of his dirt "Yard Kart" experience as he gets used to running the inside line of Wall Stadium's asphalt.
