| Comments: | Comment From Rick: Here are pictures taken on 8/21/05, the
first time the #95 has seen sunlight since 1969! Thanks to J.T.Hoff (Hoop's nephew)
for opening the doors to old Upper Black Eddy/Milford kids (in their 40s and 50s now) and
many others who stopped by. He says he can't clean out the garage with the car in
it, so he just pushed it out for all to see. I learned that this car finished 2nd in it's last feature, at Harmony in 1969. That is still Harmony mud on the car! It's not as pretty as we remembered it, but we concluded that most of the old cars weren't as good as the memories they left behind. You really have to see this up close to appreciate it. |

| 09/07/05 | Walter Onora | One of my first memories of Flemington is definitely the "95" of Hoop's. This "stock car" is frozen in time!!! One of Hoop's last rides at Flemington, He finished fifth or sixth. This is the same year, Frankie Schneider won the modified championship at Flemington(1969!!). Frankie accomplished this feat without winning a feature!! Oh, for the good old days!!! |
