Comments: | Comment from Rob Maxwell: Here is a photo of Orange County Fair Speedway from the 1940-1950's. The outside track is the track of today. The inside track is the old Victory Speedway (1/4 mile midget track). The outside track actually has a horse going around it in the top right hand corner. |

09/17/05 | 3-Wide | We first posted this photo as a mystery, but both Jim Maxson and Dick Schoonmaker knew that this photo was Middletown. (Thanks Jim and Dick.) |
01/25/06 | Pete Kessler | Victory Speedway... The "Little Track" was actually 1/5-mile in
length. It was built in 1942. I have a letter from the ARDC announcing the inaugural race for midgets that was to be held two weeks before the government ban on motorsports activities (due to the shortage of aluminum, gasoline, and rubber). The mystery remains: Was a race held on the little track before the ban? No records seem to exist. Great photo! Pete Kessler Sparta, NJ |
