he was his tv repair man) way back when. He used to take us up to Bill's garage during the winter to see what was going on. I can remember watching Bill do the numbers on the car. Man those 7's were beautiful. Got me interested in painting cars. His cars always stood out on the track. A true racer - did most everying himself as did most racers from that era. I miss those times, racing today isn't what it was then. Maybe its because I'm older now, but to me race car drivers were heroes and getting to sit in a modified was like a dream come true. |
