| 11.25.10 | Mike Kent | It's 1982 and asphalt modified racing was alive and well in NJ! This is Tom Commerford wheeling the Don Ling-owned 66 Chrysler-bodied modified. Tom would have 5 wins in that car @ wall stadium to finish the 82' season. I was at Wall (and New Egypt) through several driver changes in the venerable 66, including Don Ling Jr., Brett Bodine, and Geoff Bodine. When I look @ this picture, I can still hear my uncle's S-1 warming up in the garage around noon every Saturday---to this day, I love the smell of CAM-2 in the morning!!! |
