| 12/11/04 | Mike Rumpf | This car was built and driven by Lew Hennessey out of Long Island. Ira Bromley was the owner and later in his career was joined by a second car owner, Lou Ewanitsko, father of Modified standout Mike Ewanitsko. Lew also built cars for Jerry Bartlett that were raced at Freeport, Islip and Riverhead. Shortly after moving to Stuart, VA in the early 1990s, Lew sadly died of a heart attack. Lew was an engineering genius and built some very innovative and beautiful cars during his career. |
