| 12/05/04 | Barry Hulse | My old tire supplier. Gil would run the feature one week, then the heat the next. My dad would then go out to Gil's house and buy 3 tires from him (We were still running a Pony Tire on the left front that lasted us a couple of years). I would then run them for about 3 weeks in the Sportsman division. $25.00 each. Let's see, 3 x $25 = $75, $75 / 3 weeks = $25.00 tire bill a week compared to today's $700 to $800 a week for 4 new ones. |
