| Comments: | Comment from Jeff: These are pictures of my grandfather from 1936 (or so) till 1941 when he quit racing. He raced AAA midgets based out of Irvington, Mapelwood and Newark. He was a regular at Irvington's Olympic park. He also raced at Henchliff Stadium, the Infamous Nutly Velodrome, Trenton, a wood track down the shore (Monmouth?) and a few other places. There is one photo of a track. We do not know what track it was but one of the advertizement billboards was a furniture company in Newark. Un-fourtunatly its not easy to find pictures of race tracks from the mid to late 30's. |
