| Comments: | I have appreciated Billy's ability on the track for about 25 years now, and I hope that the kids of today will have an opportunity to root for him for another 25! Billy took time out on this Saturday night to come over and sign autographs for the fans during a break in the action. Later on this night, Billy charged from 17th to 2nd in 2 laps in the modified feature and led well past the half-way point until his power steering let go. Somehow, with hot power steering fluid getting on his legs, Billy was still able to wrestle the car around the tough speedway for the rest of the race - but not until Frank Cozze got by. Billy hung tough to get second and then hung around until the late hours in the pits talking to fans. Thanks Billy for your efforts on both side of the guardrail! |
