Comments: Comment:  An absolute treasure of Orange County Fairgrounds, Paul has attended races there for over 50 years, and he pulls images from his mind from those early years to create beautiful works of art...  whether drawings, paintings, or in his building of models of the cars and drivers that either he remembers, or were at least inspired by the cars and drivers from his early visits to "Victory Speedway."

The name Paul Irving is very familiar to fans of our website here as there are many photos within the pages of The Vault provided by Paul.  Paul's artistry comes through in his photography as well, including some of our all time images "Brightbill in His Office" and "Frankie and The Dust."

Some people (not me by the way...) have artistic abilities.  Some are born artists, and it is who they are.  That is Paul.  When you talk to him, there's an excitement and an optimism that comes through his expressions, probably because Paul sees things differently... and is always thinking about his next project.

We are fortunate that Paul has been a fan of local short track racing for all these decades, and fortunate to see the love of the sport in all of his artwork, that comes from deep within.
